The Historisches Museum Bremerhaven has been awarded many prizes for the modern and pioneering design of its exhibitions and the attractive architecture of the museum building. Situated on the banks of the river Geeste the building is 100 metres in length. Visitors have given the museum the highest praise and described it as the best and most impressive museum in the North.
