The Alfred Wegener Institute and the University of Göttingen extend a warm welcome to the participants of PCI 2006. May the Conference present inspiring new research in the physics and chemistry of ice and stimulate discussion among the leading researchers in the field!

Bremerhaven is situated on the North Sea and can be reached by train from Hamburg (approx. 2h) and from Frankfurt (approx. 5 h) via Bremen. The following link of the German National Railways may help you to plan your travel according to your plain schedule. On the webpage you can fill any date, time and train station you would like to start from and to return to.
NOTE: For those who arrive at Bremen Airport please enter „Flughafen, Bremen“ when looking for a train connection to Bremerhaven. In case of you arrive via Hamburg please enter “Airport, Hamburg” as departure option, and via Frankfurt please enter “Flughafen, Frankfurt”. By arriving via Frankfurt am Main there are different options to select in between corresponding to the airport you will arrive.
